About me

My passion for art and design began in childhood when I would sketch and draw on recycled paper. Throughout my school years, I volunteered to design classroom bulletin boards and play backdrops, where I began to identify as a designer.

As a young adult, I pursued a degree in accounting, leading to a decade-long career in operations, finance, strategy, and business development for various companies in Hong Kong. I developed my analytical skills by diving deep into data to solve organizational challenges and drive business growth, balancing short-term gains with long-term vision.

A turning point came when the company I worked for closed its Asia-Pacific office. This unexpected change led me to rethink my career path. With a leap of faith, I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to study Graphic and User Experience Design.

Since then, I’ve worked in both dynamic startups and major tech companies, using my design expertise and my precious accounting experience to help them achieve efficiency and profitability through thoughtful, user-centered solutions.

When I’m not working, I enjoy cooking, playing board games, biking, and walking in Prospect Park. I also volunteer at local libraries, teaching paper-cut art workshops.
